Smart Move

SAN FRANCISCO — The graffiti artist who took Facebook stock instead of cash for painting the walls of the social network’s first headquarters made a smart bet. The shares owned by the artist, David Choe, are expected to be worth upward of $200 million when Facebook stock trades publicly later this year.

LA TIMES

I spent the weekend in LA at the oldest car show around The LA Roadster Show. Hanging with friends and looking at some Kool Cars. Here are a couple of flix. A little bit of everything.

AMAZING

I will post some more pix from the trip later in the week. Have Fun and get back to work!

Merry Christmas!

Have a great Holiday whatever you celebrate. Keep it fun…

SO MUCH METAL

Ms. Metal AKA Amy came to me a while ago to design a sign to help her with her custom auto parts and jewelry business.
It’s always cool to work with people who are doing there own thing and in turn allow you to do yours.

Fabulous Hudson

A while back a client called me and asked if I would letter a car for a buddy of his. I said no problem and set up a day to make the hour drive out to this guys place to do the job. I looked at the job, he wanted to do a reproduction of a early NASCAR paint job. He asked how much? I thought for a second then shot him the price. His response was that’s great that’s what I had budgeted for the job. His next question seemed to turn things around “how many days will it take?”. When I told him it would be finished by the end of the day today his response to me was “well then, The price seems a little steep don’t you think?”. I will finish the story by telling you about 11 hours later I was headed to my truck with a 100 dollar tip on top of my asking price ready to make the drive home.

Some Work

Here is a commission canvas piece I did for a client last week. It was a birthday gift for the owner and builder of the truck.
Not my favorite subject matter to paint but it was fun none the less. Enjoy!

That Time Of Year

I didn’t end up going to SEMA last year. To be honest I didn’t miss it much. A few weeks ago I got a call to do some work for one of the automotive industries paint suppliers. So if for some strange reason you find yourself wandering through Las Vegas or more specifically the SEMA trade show. Swing by and see me, I’ll be painting there all week and I am sure I would love a break.

Falling Out Of Sync

Sometimes you forget about things that you should be doing (like your blog). It’s time to get back in sync.
Lets start fresh with a good song from a great musician.
